analysis. Risk analysis is broadly defined to include risk assessment, risk

The Commission was mandated under the 1990 amendments to the Clean Air Act to
evaluate and make recommendations concerning risk assessment and risk
management practices across the federal government. The site provides access
to the Commission’s mandate, reports, membership, and other information.

determine the identities and amounts of substances released by local
industrial facilities as reported according to the Environmental Protection
Agency’s Toxics Release Inventory. No information about risks is available,

databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, and related areas, including the
Hazardous Substances Data Bank, the Integrated Risk Information Service, and
the Toxics Release Inventory.

is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the best use of toxicity data for risk
assessment and the development of risk values. TERA helps environmental,

improvements in the science and practice of risk assessment will follow.
